SOUTH CAROLINA POST-GAME NOTES:

Final Score: Alabama 63, South Carolina 57

• South Carolina finishes the season with a 10-21 record. Alabama advances to play Florida in the second round. The Crimson Tide are 21-10 after today’s win.
• South Carolina is 8-10 all-time when playing in the first round of the SEC Tournament.
• Alabama now leads the all-time series 23-13 including a 5-2 advantage in neutral site games.
• Alabama avenged a regular season 56-54 loss to South Carolina.
• The Gamecocks had more field goals (22-19) and more 3-point baskets (8-1) than Alabama, but 25 personal fouls compared to just 12 for the Crimson Tide gave Alabama a 24-5 advantage from the charity stripe.
• Alabama outrebounded Carolina 29-25 for the game, but held a 19-9 advantage at the intermission.
• Bruce Ellington had six assists in the contest, matching his season high, set at Tennessee on Feb. 8. His career high is eight.
• Three Gamecocks finished in double figures with Damien Leonard and Brenton Williams leading the way with 13 points apiece. Bruce Ellington added 11, all in the second half.
• Brenton Williams finished with 13 points, two shy of his career high.
• Malik Cooke, the lone senior on the Carolina squad, finished the game with six points and an assist.
• The Gamecocks were outscored 32-20 in the paint, but surrendered just six second half points in the paint, while scoring a dozen of their own.
• Alabama was limited to just five second-half field goals in 14 attempts.
