Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina junior infielder LB Dantzler is one of eight players that will compete in the 2012 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby on Tuesday, July 3 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha. The event will be taped and televised nationally on CBS on Saturday, July 7 from 2-3 p.m. ET. Dantzler, who started all 69 games this past year at third base, hit .262 (69-for-263) for the season with 10 homers and 48 RBI. Dantzler homered at the 2012 College World Series in the 4-1 win over Kent State.

Tickets for the 2012 TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby are $8 for children, $12 for adults, or $35 for a Family Four-Pack. Tickets may be purchased in-person from the CenturyLink Center arena box offices, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000, or online at www.collegehomerunderby.com. Handling fees will apply to those tickets purchased over the phone or online, but not to those purchased in-person.
