COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Southeastern Conference today announced its 2012 women’s basketball conference television schedule, which includes five South Carolina games among the 58-game regular-season package that spans four networks. The Gamecocks are slated for three games on SportSouth (SPSO) and one each on the SEC Network (SECN) and Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS). South Carolina expects to announce its non-conference television schedule in the coming weeks.

South Carolina’s first televised game will be the SEC opener against Tennessee on Thu., Jan. 3 with SportSouth broadcasting the 9 p.m. tipoff. Ten days later fans can watch the Gamecocks take on Georgia in Athens, Ga., at 1 p.m. on Comcast Sports Southeast. SportSouth, which includes FS Southwest and Sun Sports, returns to Columbia, S.C., for South Carolina’s 7 p.m. tip against Kentucky on Thu., Jan. 24. After a spot on the SEC Network on Sun., Feb. 17, at Ole Miss (2 p.m.), the Gamecocks close out the regular season on SportSouth with a 1 p.m. tip against Florida on Sun., March 3.

Most of the Gamecocks’ regionally televised games will be available as part of ESPN Full Court, the pay subscription college basketball out-of-market service, and on ESPN3.com. Information on both will be available the week of the game on GamecocksOnline.com.

In addition to the regular-season slate, all SEC Tournament games will air live. The first two games in the tournament’s new format will air on FS South (FSN) as will the evening quarterfinal contests. SportSouth will broadcast all four games of the second round and the first two quarterfinals. ESPNU and ESPN2 will broadcast the semifinals and finals, respectively.
