COLUMBIA, S.C. – First-year head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin and his team held an open practice on Friday, Oct. 26, at Colonial Life Arena.

Coach Martin addressed the crowd after the scrimmage saying, “I want to say thank you for coming out. These guys have been working very hard in practice. We’re excited for the challenges; we’re excited to continue to work. They’re playing with tremendous courage, energy and enthusiasm. As a coach that’s all you can ask.”

The Gamecocks took the floor for some warm up drills before facing each other in three six-minute quarters, changing up the teams for each period.

The men’s basketball team will host Kentucky Wesleyan on Oct. 30 in an exhibition contest at 7 p.m. prior to the season opener versus UW Milwaukee on Nov. 11.
