COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina cross country team is ranked No. 9 in the final regular-season United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast Regional rankings, the USTFCCCA announced Monday.

The Gamecocks remained in the rankings after a ninth-place showing at the SEC Championships last Friday at Percy Warner Park in Nashville, Tenn. All of South Carolina’s top-five finishers recorded personal records, with freshman Kayla Lampe leading the way. Lampe earned second team All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman Team honors by finishing 13th with a PR of 21:02.30. Senior Chelsea France finished 23rd with a PR of 21:23.67, while freshman Mary Fouse (22:04.86, 64th), sophomore Meredith Mill (22:28.31, 85th) and junior Penny Boswell (22:28.51, 86th) also recorded 6K personal records.

The Gamecocks will now turn their focus to the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships, which will be held on Nov. 9 at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, N.C. The meet is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
