Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina senior left-handed pitcher Tyler Webb has earned Preseason All-America honors as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Webb received second-team honors from the NCBWA. South Carolina opens the 2013 season on Friday, Feb. 15 hosting a three-game series with Liberty at Carolina Stadium.
In 2012, Webb made 39 appearances, second highest in a single season in school history with an impressive 6-1 record, a miniscule 1.56 ERA, as well as three saves with 58 strikeouts in 57 2/3 innings pitched.
