COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The South Carolina women’s track and field dropped one spot to 15th in this week’s U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I National Team Computer Rankings.

The Gamecocks are coming off a sixth-place finish at the 2013 SEC Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., where they scored 50 points. The performance was the best since a fifth-place finish in 2009. South Carolina is one of seven SEC teams in the rankings.

The final round of computer rankings will be released March 5, and will be based on qualifiers to the NCAA Championships.

This weekend, the Gamecocks will travel to NCAA Last Chance Qualifier meets. The NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships will take place March 8-9 and will be held in Fayetteville, Ark.
