COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The University of South Carolina will open its new Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field this weekend, hosting No. 4/6 Alabama. The Gamecocks and the defending national champion Crimson Tide will meet in games scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, 12 noon on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday.

STADIUM CONDITION:
Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field is another jewel in the beautiful Athletics Village, that currently features the Dodie Anderson Academic Enrichment Center, the Rice Athletics Center which houses many of the athletics department administration and staff, and the Carolina Tennis Center. However, parts of the Softball Stadium remain under construction and will not be open to fans this weekend. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience while we complete the stadium.

CAPACITY/TICKETS/PASSES:
Due to the on-going construction, there is a limited capacity at the Carolina Softball Stadium for this weekend’s matchup under what it will be when fully finished. All three games of the series have been sold out through season tickets, team pass lists and single-game advanced ticket sales. High school coaches’ passes, student and faculty/staff free admission policies will not be honored.

ENTRANCE:
Fans will enter the new Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field via the pedestrian bridge that links the stadium to the Athletics Village. Fans will enjoy a scenic walk from the parking garage to the bridge, leading them to the stadium concourse level. The ticket tent will be located near the Carolina Tennis Center at the entrance to the bridge. Several staff members will be on hand to assist fans in getting to the stadium.

PARKING:
Fans are encouraged to park in the Athletics Garage, located at 1300 Heyward Street, just west of the Dodie Academic Center and across the street from Stone Stadium. Parking in the garage is free for all athletic department events. A golf cart shuttle service will be available from the garage to the ticketing center for those fans requiring assistance. No parking will be available in the Roost dorm parking lot or on the surrounding streets.

CONCESSIONS:
Due to on-going construction, a limited number of concession items will be available.

WATER/RESTROOMS:
As a courtesy, free bottled water will be provided to all fans as they enter the stadium. Restrooms on the concourse level will be available for use.

PROMOTIONS:
Fans attending Friday night’s contest will receive a visor featuring the inaugural season logo for Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Rally towels will be passed out to fans at Saturday’s game. Those attending the Sunday series finale will receive St. Patrick’s Day-themed Gamecock Softball T-shirts. All promotions available only while supplies last.

CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH:
The first family of Gamecock softball, David and Mitzi Beckham, will throw out Friday’s ceremonial first pitch. Head women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley will have the honors on Saturday, while head football coach Steve Spurrier will take part in the festivities on Sunday.
