Columbia, S.C. –
Due to the threat of very severe weather tonight in Columbia, S.C., the South Carolina-Kentucky baseball game has been postponed. The series will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Carolina Stadium with a doubleheader. Both games will be nine innings.

Weather reports indicate that tonight’s storms will include heavy winds up to 20 and 30 miles per hour. With the high potential of severe weather and safety of all in mind, the decision was made to play a doubleheader on Saturday.

Fans with tickets for Friday night’s game will be honored for the first game of the doubleheader. The stadium will be cleared at the completion of the first game. Fans with tickets for Saturday’s game will be honored for the second game of the doubleheader, which will start approximately 45 minutes at the conclusion of game one.

The first game of the doubleheader will be televised live on Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Carolinas. Both games can be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network from IMG College including flagship station, 107.5 FM, “The Game.”
