COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina head softball coach Beverly Smith released her fall non-competition-season schedule today, inviting fans to the newly-finished Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field for seven of the scheduled eight games.

South Carolina opens the fall with an Oct. 4 doubleheader at 5 p.m. against Charleston Southern before hosting the Gamecock Fall Invitational the next weekend. The Gamecocks will face one of the team’s biggest rivals North Carolina twice, first on Fri., Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. and again at 12 p.m. on Saturday. South Carolina takes on Spartanburg Methodist to finish off their Saturday schedule at 2 p.m. On Sunday, the Gamecocks face Lander at 2 p.m. and Presbyterian at 4 p.m.

The final game of the fall comes at the alma mater of senior right fielder Chelsea Hawkins, as the Gamecocks travel on Oct. 26 to take on Anderson at 2 p.m. at Wren High School in Anderson, S.C.

Fans can attend any of the fall games at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field for free, and the concession stand will be open for fans needing refreshments during the games. Details on the final fall event which will include many things for season ticket holders will be announced at a later date.
