COLUMBIA, S.C. –
Over 115 former players, coaches and support staff from the University of South Carolina baseball program will return to Columbia, S.C. this week for Alumni Weekend. Among the festivities include a golf outing on Friday, Oct. 4 as well as the Alumni Game later that evening. First pitch at Carolina Stadium for the Alumni Game is set for 6:15 p.m. with admission free of charge. There will be a brief introduction of former players, coaches and support staff before the game as well.
In addition to Friday’s Alumni Game, the current Gamecock baseball team will hold three scrimmages this weekend open to the public. Friday’s scrimmage is set for 3:15 p.m. with Saturday’s scrimmage at Noon and Sunday’s set for 1:30 p.m.
A full list of attendees for this weekend’s Alumni Game will be announced on Wednesday.

South Carolina won the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship in 2010 and 2011 at the College World Series. South Carolina has 11 College World Series appearances including six in the last 12 years. Carolina owns the second-highest win total in the nation in the last 14 years with a 669-271 record. South Carolina is one of five schools to appear in the NCAA Regional every season in the last 14 years including 11 NCAA Super Regional appearances in that span, one of only two schools to accomplish the feat.
