COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Athletics Department has announced voting for South Carolina students to decide on the name for the men’s and women’s basketball student sections at Colonial Life Arena. To vote for the new student section name, click HERE!

After receiving a large number of ideas in an open call for name suggestions, the Athletics Department has provided the following names for options for students to vote on: The Coop, Spur Section, Martin’s Maniacs, Cocky’s Crew, Spur Zone, Spur Squad and The Roost. Voting at the above link will be open to students until 5 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Both the South Carolina men’s and women’s basketball teams are in their preseason, prepping for exhibition contests in early November. Fans can purchase tickets for both men’s and women’s basketball by visiting www.GamecocksOnline.com/Tickets, or call 1-800-4SC-FANS.
