COLUMBIA, S.C. – Two consecutive weekends of strong performances garnered South Carolina a spot in the latest cross country regional rankings released by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced today.

The Gamecocks reenter the poll at No. 15 after finishing eighth in the White race at the 2013 Indiana State Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. The week prior, the Gamecocks won the Royal Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte, with five Gamecocks posting 5K times in the program’s top 40 all-time.

Junior Meredith Mill has finished in the top 10 in four races this fall, including finishing ninth in the national field in Terre Haute, Ind. Freshman Mary Reiser continues her strong performances, with two top 10s and four top-50 placements on the season.

South Carolina, who ranked ninth in the preseason poll, races in the Southeastern Conference Championship on Fri., Nov. 1 in Gainesville, Fla.
