COLUMBIA, S.C. – In conjunction with the Association of USA Track & Field Officials, the University of South Carolina will host a USATF Officials Certification Clinic on Saturday, November 9, at 10:00am. The clinic, intended for individuals interested in becoming new USATF officials, will be held at the Dodie Anderson Academic Enrichment Center in the third floor quite room.

The track and field program has increased the number of home events in 2014 and is in need of individuals interested in the sport and those that want to help provide fair and safe competitions for athletes.

Recruiting and training of officials is also in anticipation of the university’s plan to construct new track and field facilities. Once completed, the Gamecocks will play host to the SEC Championships and attract major track & field competitions of all levels from around the country.
