Head Coach Chad Holbrook
Opening Statement
It was a good win for our team and to get to 34-14 feels pretty good seeing all we’ve been through. Curt [Britt] was okay, he hasn’t pitched in a long time so asking him to be dominate was probably too much. I thought Colby [Holmes] was solid again and that’s encouraging. Adam [Westmoreland] threw the ball well and Joel [Seddon] probably threw the best he has since he’s been here. As far as offensively, I thought we were very sluggish, not a whole lot of energy and we missed some opportunities. Then Joey [Pankake] got a big hit there that kind of got everybody relaxed and got some momentum going in our dugout. There at the end we were able to settle in and play pretty well. All in all a good win and we’ll have a good day of practice tomorrow. As a team we will go visit the children’s hospital to see some kids and keep some things in perspective and get ready for a big weekend.

On the speech before the seventh inning…
I was so mad I forgot what I told them. I guess I gave my best Ray Tanner impersonation. I felt like we were giving away some at bats and some pitches. I thought I was going to lose my mind on one of the coaches or the players so I guess it’s best that I did it on the players. I don’t think it was much of a motivational speech; I was just tired of the way we were playing.

Dante Rosenberg
On coming back from his injury…
I just tried to keep a positive mind set and all the credit goes to the training staff. They did a great job rehabbing me and getting me back.

On being clear to play tonight… I met with the doctor yesterday and he said if Coach Holbrook wants to get you in the game that would be beneficial. Coach Holbrook said if the opportunity presented itself they would try to get me in there and so I was just ready to go. I was happy to help the team win.

Joey Pankake
On his at bat in the seventh inning…
There was a little urgency in the dugout we were down and it was getting late and the game. We knew we needed to get runs in the game and I was able to work the count, and I was the guy that kind of sparked the inning with the big hit.

On the Wofford bullpen…
They had some good arms. We struggled hitting them all game but we had one good inning and that is what really helped us to pull out the win.

Curt Britt
On starting the game…
The first inning I was a little bit shaky, I was just trying to pound the zone. I hit my spots in the first inning but they were able to hit a couple of bleeders, and in the second and third innings I think I found my groove. Overall I think it was a pretty good outing, just wish I could have come out a little bit stronger.

On getting more starts…
I hope I can get in there a little bit more because of course that’s my ultimate goal. And like I said the only thing that bothered me was the first inning but other than that I thought I did good and hopefully the coaches will see the potential.

Grayson Greiner
On the seventh inning…
Coach gave us a pretty good pump up speech prior to that inning. We hadn’t done much that whole game, and we were able to put up six runs. Our pitchers threw great all night, and we didn’t do much for them up to that point. But that inning changed the game for us.

On starting out slow…
That starter kind of kept us at bay. He did a good job of mixing speeds and we didn’t have a very good approach against him. Luckily we got into their bullpen and they had a few good arms but Joey kind of sparked us with that home run.
