COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina wraps up a seven-game home stand on Tuesday afternoon by hosting Big South teams Charleston Southern at 4:30 p.m. and Presbyterian at 7 p.m. at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field.

The Gamecocks are riding a five-game winning streak, all at its new stadium, including its first SEC sweep in the park against Mississippi. Senior Ashlyn Masters earned SEC Player of the Week accolades thanks to a .643 batting average during the skein, stretching her team-best hitting streak to 13 games. The SEC leader in doubles per game, Masters’ 15 already is one away from a top-10 mark in South Carolina history with 20 regular-season games to go.

Charleston Southern comes in 19-21-1 after splitting a doubleheader at Liberty on Monday afternoon. Jessica Brock tops the Buccaneer starters with her five homers, 10 doubles and .570 slugging percentage, while Stephanie Sbardella has a .408 on-base percentage to go with 10 doubles as well. Cheyenne Gandara handles most of the work in the circle, tossing 106.1 innings with a 2.50 ERA, striking out 102 and walking 41.

Presbyterian is 18-14 on the season and 4-5 in the Big South, falling in two out of three at home to Longwood on the weekend. Jill McLean leads the Blue Hose and stand second in NCAA Division I with five triples on the year, while Kersten Legacki and Erin Ruff have added six homers each. Sydney Seigler has compiled a 2.80 ERA in 90 innings of work, fanning 63 and only walking 15.

South Carolina is 13-2 in history against Charleston Southern, taking the last two meetings. The Buccaneers and Gamecocks split a doubleheader in 2012 at Beckham Field. The Gamecocks are 3-0 all-time against Presbyterian, including a 9-0 (5) victory in the season-opening Carolina Classic.

Gametracker live stats and live video will be available at GamecocksOnline.com, and tickets for the games will be available at the gate.
