COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina women’s golf team moved up one spot to No. 7 in the Golfstat Relative Rankings, Golfstat announced Wednesday.
The Gamecocks are nearing postseason play with plenty of momentum as they have finished fifth ore better in six straight events, including a runner-up finish at the Bryan National Collegiate over the weekend.
Southern California remains the top-ranked team in the country, followed by UCLA, Duke, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
South Carolina is one of six SEC teams ranked in the poll, joining Arkansas (No. 4), Alabama (No. 10), Vanderbilt (No. 12), LSU (No. 18) and Florida (No. 19).
The Gamecocks will wrap up their regular-season schedule on April 4-6 at the PING ASU Invitational. The 54-hole event will be contested at the ASU Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Ariz.
