The South Carolina women’s golf team has moved up one spot to No. 5 in the Golfstat rankings. This is the highest ranking for the Gamecocks all season.

Southern California, UCLA, Duke and Arkansas remain the top four, respectively. Along with South Carolina and Arkansas, four other SEC teams are ranked in the top 25 including Alabama at No. 10.

South Carolina also climbed four spots to No. 6 in the latest Golf World/WGCA Division I College Women’s Coaches Poll and one spot to No. 9 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.

The Gamecocks will now wait for the NCAA Regional pairings to be announced on April 28. Carolina will be selected to compete at one of three sites, which include Tallahassee, Fla., Stillwater, Okla., and Ce Elum, Wash.
