COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin announced on Tuesday that junior forward Brian Steele has suffered a right knee injury. The Greenville, S.C., native underwent surgery last week and is expected to miss eight weeks. Steele suffered the injury during workouts.

Steele averaged 2.2 points per game and hit 40 percent of his shot attempts during the 2013-14 campaign. He saw action in 22 contests last season.
