COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Southeastern Conference held its annual men’s basketball media day on Wednesday, held at two locations in Charlotte, N.C., the Ballantyne Hotel and the ESPN/SEC Network Studios. Third-year head coach Frank Martin was joined by sophomore guard Sindarius Thornwell and senior guard Tyrone Johnson, as the trio visited with local and national media members, spent time with ESPN and SEC Network analysts and visited with fellow coaches and student-athletes from around the league.

The day started at the Ballantyne Hotel where the group spoke with local and national media members and with CBS Sports and Fox Sports among others. Martin, Johnson and Thornwell also visited with media and radio hosts from Columbia who attended before joining other coaches, student-athletes and staff members for lunch.

The group next made the short trip to the SEC Network Studios to meet with national media members from the Network and ESPN, such as Myron Medcalf, Andy Katz and Sean Farnham. Johnson and Thornwell ran through a play with Farnham and Tony Delk on an outdoor court, and Martin went through a play from last season’s victory over Kentucky with Network analyst Kara Lawson.

The trio also made stops with Sirius XM Radio, and at an SEC Network photo shoot. Martin joined coaches from several other schools in a roundtable discussion, and then joined Vanderbilt’s Kevin Stallings in a live interview on ESPNU with Andy Katz.

South Carolina returns to Columbia for three more days of practice before hosting Benedict College in an exhibition contest on Sunday. Admission is free for the matchup versus the Tigers, and doors open at 2:30 p.m. ET with the game starting at 4 p.m. ET.

Season ticket prices for the upcoming season remain unchanged from the 2013-14 campaign, with full season packages starting at $90. Like last season, fans can purchase lower level season tickets for $260 (Gamecock Club membership required for sections 104-106, 113-115) and University faculty and staff can buy tickets for $210.
