Gamecock senior Layla Choate is 5-0 this season in reining with one MVP, which she won on Nov. 7 in the 13-6 win at Fresno State.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina equestrian team remains No. 3 in the latest National Collegiate Equestrian Association team rankings, released on Tuesday. The Gamecocks are the highest ranked team in the Southeastern Conference.

The Gamecocks (3-2, 2-1 SEC) have won three meets in a row, two of which have come against SEC opponents Auburn and Texas A&M. Carolina picked up a 13-6 win on Nov. 6 at Fresno State to get above .500 for the first time this season.

South Carolina returns to action on Nov. 21, when the Gamecocks travel to face No. 8 Oklahoma State for their final meet of the fall semester.
