COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina volleyball program has signed Courtney Furlong to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Scott Swanson announced Monday.
Furlong, a 6-3 outside hitter from Oviedo, Fla., will bring a lengthy list of accomplishments to Columbia and will look to make an immediate impact for the Gamecocks in 2015.
“We are thrilled to have Courtney Furlong joining our program in 2015,” Swanson said. “Courtney is the strong, physically gifted player that we need to anchor one of our outside hitting positions. We believe that Courtney will have an immediate impact on a team that will be gunning for an NCAA Tournament bid next season.”
