Elem Ibiam from the South Carolina women’s basketball team has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week. Ibiam scored a career-high 21 points in the Gamecocks’ lone game this week, needing just 18 minutes to do it. She hit a baseline jumper and two free throws early in an 8-0 run that turned a 5-6 deficit into 13-6 lead that Gamecocks never relinquished. Ibiam also made a career-high seven free throws on just eight attempts.
