Sophomore Infielder Max Schrock
On getting back on to the field tonight…
It felt good to be getting back out on the field. I was trying to go up to the plate and just get some rhythm back and see some pitches. I feel like I did that a little bit today. I saw some pitches and had some good swings and some bad ones. That happens when you’ve been out for a while, but overall, I felt pretty good. I had no pain, which is good, and I’m just looking to progress as we move on.

On doing the little things in tonight’s game to get the win…
The little things are very important and I feel like we did a lot of the little things today. That’s why we put up 15 runs, we moved runners over, we took our walks and hit by pitches, and we got a lot of runners on base. We came up with a lot of big hits too, and that was something we lacked this past weekend. It was good to see our team respond after a tough weekend at Georgia.

Junior Outfielder Patrick Harrington
On getting the opportunity to play every day…
It’s a dream, basically, and it came true. The opportunity presented itself and I wanted to make the most of it for the team, before myself. I understand that I’m in there because people got injured, but I busted my tail every day at practice and my teammates saw me doing that. I just wanted them to be able to believe in me.

On what has kept him motivated throughout this season…
It’s the guys and this team. Coach (Holbrook) has always said that it’s the memories and the legacy that you leave behind. The only thing that we’re going to remember are the games and championships we won and the guys. You’re not going to remember personal stats because no one wants to hear about personal stats. It’s about what you’ve done as a team and that’s all I’m going to remember at the end of the day.

Junior Catcher Grayson Greiner
On having Max Schrock back in the line-up…
It’s big. Max is a really good hitter, even though he hasn’t had the numbers to show that. He’s been hurt a good part of the year, which stinks for us, but he’s obviously one of our most talented hitters. Just seeing the name Max Schrock back in the line-up builds some morale on our team. He’s one of our best guys and hopefully he feels better tonight and can be back in the line-up for us this weekend.

On Patrick Harrington…
I could sit here for two hours and talk about Pat Harrington. I love him with all my heart and he is one of my best friends. He hasn’t played a lot in his first couple of years here and he could’ve transferred or quit baseball, but he comes to the field every day. He is one of the first one’s here and one of the last to leave. He works harder than anyone out here and he’s getting the opportunity right now. The numbers might not show, but he gives a quality at-bat every time he goes up there. I just can’t say enough about Pat Harrington, I love that guy.
