Profile
- From LaPuente, Calif., Danielle Quinones chose SC because it was far from home and the opposite of what she was used to in California, in atmosphere, accents, food, culture and many more things.
- She loved all the great times with her teammates: memories created, bonds made, inside jokes acquired, shared agony of conditioning and the shared goals.
- She also loved beating Alabama at home on Senior Day on April 19, 2003.
- Quinones loved living in and learning in a true college environment.
- She loved getting to play top-seeded UCLA in that regional, remembering that the Bruins won the second championship game, forced by SC’s win earlier in the day, in part to an unreal basket catch.
- Later, Quinones wanted to make sure that it was known that she is still coach Joyce Compton’s favorite.
Current Life
- After graduation, Quinones spent time coaching at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) in California.
- During that time, she got certified in personal training and taught a fire-fighter conditioning course at the college.
- Two years later, she became a police officer in Long Beach, Calif., where she still lives.
