Opening Statement
“I think the weather’s going to cooperate with us and we’ll get three games in this weekend, we’re excited about playing Northeastern. It’s an opportunity to get on the field and get better, and we know that Northeastern is going to present a challenge for us. They’re well-coached, they have a lot of pitchers back from a year ago. These guys went to Charleston last year and beat College of Charleston two out of three, and we know how good the College of Charleston is. We’re going to have to play well and it’s a great challenge for us, like I said, the pitchers are older, have more experience, and have good numbers. They’re coming off a weekend where they won two out of three to open the season, and I’m sure they’re excited about playing us. But we have to continue to improve and get better, and get ready for the challenges that lie ahead. We’re thankful that Northeastern braved their brutal winter and can get on a plane and come down here, and let’s get in three games.”
