Ticket and Travel Information - Women's Hoops Headed to Sweet 16

March 22, 2015

It’s tournament time! The University of South Carolina was very proud to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA tournament at the Colonial Life Arena. The team and staff are so thankful for all of you who were able to join us on Friday, March 20 and Sunday, March 22. We have the best fan base in the country, and it was a great opportunity for our fans to be able to continue to support the team and staff with such a tremendous turnout all the way through the post season!

Now that we are on to the next round in Greensboro, North Carolina, we would love to invite you to join us on two separate bus trips. Our first NCAA “home away from home” bus trip to support the Gamecocks will be on Friday, March 27. The second trip will be on Sunday, March 29. Due to the double trip, and to keep cost at the very minimum, we have excluded some of the usual bonuses. Bus trips will include transportation, reserved seat game tickets, soft drinks, and light snacks only. Our reserved seats will be on the bottom level, and as close to the team as possible. Cost per person for the Friday trip will be $60. Buses will leave from the Key Road parking lot by the football stadium at 2 p.m. sharp. We will make one brief stop at a rest area, and should arrive in Greensboro no later than 5:30 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. For anyone who is interested, once we arrive, the Gamecock Club and My Carolina Alumni Association invite all fans to Stamey’s BBQ, the official Gamecock headquarters in Greensboro. The Gamecock HQ will beopen from 4 – 6:30 pm and is located across the street from the Greensboro Coliseum (2206 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27403). Parking information surrounding the Greensboro Coliseum may be found by visiting http://www.greensborocoliseum.com/guest_services/parking.

The first game on Friday begins at 7 p.m.; the second game begins at 9:30 pm. We will depart the arena 30 minutes after the end of the second game, returning to Columbia.

The second trip will be on Sunday, March 29. Cost per person for the Sunday trip will be $60. Buses will leave from the Key Road parking lot by at 7am sharp. We will make one brief stop at a rest area, and should arrive in Greensboro no later than 10:30 am. Doors open at 11 a.m. There is only one game on Sunday, which begins at Noon. We will depart the arena 30 minutes after the end of the game, returning to Columbia.

We hope that everyone will be able to join us on our bus trips next weekend. Please email me as soon as possible to reserve a seat. Due to the short time between the announcement of the trip and the trip itself, we will have to have payment no later than Wednesday, March 25, or your reservation may be made available to those on the waiting list. Please email me at dpalmer@mailbox.sc.edu or call 803-777-0371 to make your reservation. Payment (cash or check only) may be dropped off at our office, located at 1051 Blossom Street, on the corner of Blossom and Assembly. Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

A final email will be sent on Wednesday with final details, itinerary and parking pass.

Thank you for your continued support!
