UNIVERSITY, Miss. – Friday night’s contest between South Carolina and Ole Miss has been suspended in the second inning. The game will continue after Saturday’s regularly-scheduled game at 3 p.m. CDT, which will show live on the SEC Network.

The Gamecocks jumped out to a 1-0 lead behind three-straight hits. Junior Alaynie Page led off the game with a double, and singles by senior Kristen Struett and sophomore Victoria Williams pushed Page home. South Carolina had two runners on and no outs in the second when the umpires called the game.

It’s the second game this season that South Carolina had a game halted to restart a day later. The Gamecocks won that contest, 8-0 (6), vs. Arkansas.
