- Four-year letter-winner 1981-84
- Part of two Women’s College World Series teams (1981 AIAW, 1983 NCAA)
- Hit .250 on the 1983 NCAA WCWS team
Profile
- Dee Dee Kish played many positions during her Gamecock career after playing three sports in high school: softball, field hockey and basketball.
- Her favorite memories come from the 1983 season.
- The team started the year without knowing who would coach them after the previous coach left in the fall of 1982.
- She remembers the 17-inning game against UCLA, losing 2-1.
- Kish remarked that the team played 15 minutes away from campus during her freshman and sophomore years.
- Her brothers played baseball for the Gamecocks.
Current Life
- Kish lives in Lexington and serves as an elementary physical education teacher.
- She got big into fitness classes and taught aerobics after graduation before going into personal training.
- She also coached softball at Coastal Carolina for two years.
- Kish is married and has three dogs.
