COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley announced today that her team will host “The Pre-Show Party” presented by All South Federal Credit Union on Wed., Oct. 28, at 6:30 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena. Free for all fans, the event will include an opportunity for fans to pick up or purchase season tickets, an autograph session exclusively for new and returning season-ticket holders, a season preview from Staley and a live painting performance from Jared Emerson.

The Colonial Life Arena main entrance will open at 6:15 p.m. with 45 minutes for fans to pick up or purchase their tickets from ticket office staff stationed on the arena floor. The tickets again feature an exclusive design required for participation in the autograph session, which will run from 6:30 to 7 p.m. with music provided by DJ Loui Vee.

At 7 p.m., the team will be announced then go into warm-ups on the court. During that time, host Brad Muller, the radio voice of Gamecock women’s basketball for the last eight seasons, will be joined by Staley to break down the 2015-16 season, including taking questions from the crowd. Following the team’s on-court activities, Emerson will take the court to create a piece of art that will hang in the newly renovated women’s basketball offices.

Staley and the Gamecocks open the 2015-16 season with an exhibition game on Fri., Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. against Newberry at Colonial Life Arena. The regular-season opener will come a week later on Fri., Nov. 13, against Ohio State.
