COLUMBIA, SC. — Founders Federal Credit Union and the University of South Carolina announced today a partnership awarding naming rights of Carolina Stadium to Founders Federal Credit Union. Carolina Stadium will now officially become Founders Park.
The agreement, which continues through 2025, includes official naming rights and other partnership benefits for the South Carolina based credit union. The Founders Federal Credit Union brand will be prominent throughout the baseball stadium complex including the outfield scoreboard and video board, interior signage, on-field signage, concourse and plaza signage. In addition, Founders Federal Credit Union will receive advertising and promotional packages with the Gamecocks athletics program.
At the media conference announcing the partnership, University of South Carolina Athletics Director Ray Tanner unveiled the newly-branded stadium logo and spoke about the attributes that make Founders Federal Credit Union the ideal partner for the stadium project.
“Founders Federal Credit Union fits all of the criteria we set out in finding a naming rights partner,” said Tanner. “Their name and reputation are unrivaled, they are committed to excellence in member service and experience; their values mesh with those of the Gamecocks and they are a company dedicated to the communities they serve.”
The announcement comes months after Founders Federal Credit Union opened an office in the Russell House University Union on the campus of the University of South Carolina.
“We have a long-standing commitment to the University of South Carolina – its students, its faculty, its staff and its fans,” commented Bruce Brumfield, President and CEO of Founders. “This stadium is an opportunity to further connect our brand to this great university and athletic program.”
