CHARLOTTE, N.C. – South Carolina junior midfielder Kurtis Turner and freshman defender Torgeir Nyboe both earned Conference USA All-Tournament Team distinction after helping the Gamecocks to a second-consecutive appearance in the event’s semifinals.

The duo helped the Gamecock defense immensely during the win over New Mexico while limiting Marshall to nine shots in the semis on Friday. Turner also had a team-best seven shots against the Thundering Herd, including one that hit off the crossbar early in the second half.

Tournament champ FIU led the way with four players on the team, including MVPs Daniel Gonzalez (offensive) and Arthur Clapot (defensive).

The Garnet and Black learn their postseason fate on Monday at 1 p.m., as NCAA.com streams the Division I Men’s Soccer Championship Selection Show.
