COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina’s softball team invites all season-ticket holders to “A Day in the Park” on Sun., Feb. 7 at 1 p.m. Exclusively for season-ticket buyers, attendees will get to watch the team take batting practice on the field, take pictures in our photo booth, enjoy concessions, get autographs and more.
Gates to Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field will open at 1 p.m. on Sun., Feb. 7, with the team going through batting practice for the first 30 minutes of the event. Fans can get food from the concession stand, sit down and watch batting practice or go to the photo booth on the concourse. After batting practice, Gamecock head coach Beverly Smith will give a short preview of the season.
At 1:45 p.m., attendees can pick up their season tickets and get autographs from the team on the concourse. A full facility tour will also be available at that time. We’ll also let season-ticket holders take some swings as well, as a hitting station will run on the field.
Those in attendance will be the first to get their hands on the new Gamecock Softball schedule poster.
Fans are encouraged to park in the garage at 1300 Heyward Street for this event and all Gamecock Softball games this season.
There’s still time to purchase your season tickets, just $25 for adults and $10 for youth 17 and under for the 33-game home schedule. The easiest way is to buy online at GamecocksOnline.com/tickets.
The Gamecocks return eight starters and 16 letter-winners from last year’s 38-22 team. South Carolina has been to 18 NCAA Tournaments, including three straight under Smith.
