COLUMBIA, S.C. ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢’Â¬” The dates have been set for the 2016 South Carolina Tennis Camps, which will be held throughout the summer at the Carolina Tennis. The first session will run June 5-9 and the second session will be held June 12-16. Overnight and commuter options will be provided. Both sessions will be co-directed by men’s tennis head coach Josh Goffi and women’s tennis head coach Kevin Epley.
University of South Carolina’s tennis camp is open to boys and girls ages 8-18 of all skill levels. The camp focuses on developing correct grips, strokes, positioning and footwork for beginning levels. For the intermediate to advanced player the focuses shifts to concentrating on shot selection, consistency, competitive match play, and singles and doubles strategy.
Highlights of the University of South Carolina camp include up to six hours of tennis daily, small instructional groups, social and recreational activities daily, Camp Demo program featuring all the latest Wilson rackets, t-shirts, water bottle and prizes for all campers, and graduation ceremony on final day.
