COLUMBIA, S.C. – For the third consecutive year, South Carolina will play in the Tallahassee Regional, facing American regular-season champ USF in the opening game of the weekend at 12 noon EDT on Friday at JoAnne Graf Field.

South Carolina enters the tournament with a 36-21 record, two wins shy of matching last year’s 38 wins. The host Seminoles gained the No. 8 national seed and take on Florida A&M in Friday’s second game.

This is the 19th appearance all-time for the Gamecocks and the fourth-consecutive showing under head coach Beverly Smith. The last three years, South Carolina has played in the Tallahassee Regional, falling twice to the USF Bulls in their first trip in this sequence in 2014.

Ticket prices and packages will be released by the Florida State athletic department on Seminoles.com on Monday morning.
