Spurs & Feathers: A major impact: '8K in 8 Days' campaign a huge success

South Carolina men’s basketball head coach Frank Martin knows it all “goes hand-in-hand.”

He is well aware that ultimately he is going to be judged by wins and losses at South Carolina, but he also knows that he has a much bigger responsibility to prepare his student-athletes for life, and one of the unique ways that Gamecock men’s basketball has continued to do this is through their annual “8K in 8 Days” campaign.

This year’s “8K in 8 Days” ran from July 6-13, and as in the past the goal was to reach 8,000 fans in the greater Columbia community and the Palmetto State with community outreach over the course of the eight days.
