23 Gamecocks Named To C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll

IRIVNG, Texas — Twenty-three South Carolina men’s soccer student-athletes were named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the 2016-17 academic year, commissioner Judy MacLeod announced this afternoon. The Gamecocks had the most honorees amongst the nine men’s soccer programs in C-USA.

Carolina placed 21 players on the honor roll last season, which tied for second most in the conference. Students named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Those with cumulative GPAs of 3.75 or better will receive the Commissioner’s Academic Medal, which will be announced tomorrow.

The Gamecocks played in the NCAA Tournament for the 22nd time in program history this season, advancing to the second round for the second consecutive year.
