Davies Moves On In Consolation Bracket

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – South Carolina women’s tennis freshman Megan Davies advanced to the consolation semifinals of the ITA Carolina Regional at the University of North Carolina on Saturday.
Davies made short work of Ally Miller Krasilnikov of Clemson in the round of 16 and then upset No. 46 Emma Davis from Wake Forest, 5-7, 6-3, (10-6) in the quarters for her first career win against a ranked opponents. Davies lost in three sets to Alisa Solovyea of Winthrop in the semifinals in three sets.
The Gamecocks are back in action at the Kitty Harrison Invitational over Nov. 3-5 in Chapel Hill.
