COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina baseball team gets back into conference play this week with a three-game series against Tennessee at Founders Park. The three-game set begins Thursday night (March 29) at 7:30 p.m. Friday’s game starts at 7 p.m. with the series finale on Saturday at 2 p.m.
All three games will be on television with Dave Neal and Chris Burke on the call. Thursday’s game will be on ESPNU with Friday and Saturday’s games on SEC Network. Every game will be on the IMG Gamecock Radio Network with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call.
South Carolina is coming off a 5-4 win over Davidson on Tuesday night as Justin Row had three hits and Logan Chapman earned the win, striking out six in five innings of work.

> Due to the spring football game on Saturday, the only shuttle service for the baseball game will be at Colonial Life Arena.

SCOUTING TENNESSEE
> Tennessee is coming off a 17-3 win over Western Carolina on Tuesday night. Nico Mascia was a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs scored and three RBI, while Brodie Leftridge had three hits and a pair of RBI in the win over the Catamounts. The Volunteers have won four games in a row after sweeping Alabama in Knoxville last weekend. Tennessee is led at the plate by Benito Santiago, who is hitting .341 with 10 doubles and 13 RBI. Zach Daniels has a team-best four home runs while Andre Lipicius leads the Vols with 22 RBI. On the mound, Garrett Stallings is 4-1 with a 2.55 ERA and just three walks in 42.1 innings pitched.
SERIES VS. TENNESSEE
> The Gamecocks hold a 61-36 series advantage on Tennessee heading into this weekend’s series. South Carolina swept the Vols in Knoxville last season and has won six straight games overall and eight games in a row at Founders Park in the series. Matt Williams was 3-for-5 and Colby Lee earned the win in relief in a 10-2 victory in the series finale on March 18, 2017.
ROW THE BOAT
> Senior Justin Row was a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI in the 5-4 win over Davidson on March 27. Row singled in the second and scored a run, doubled in the fourth and hit a two-run home run in the sixth that proved to be the game-winning RBI. On the season, Row is hitting .310 with two doubles, three home runs and nine RBI in 20 games played and 11 starts.
SC IN THE SEC LEADERS
> Adam Hill leads the SEC in opponent’s batting average (.126) and is third in strikeouts with 49. TJ Hopkins is tied for second in the league with 11 stolen bases and Noah Campbell is tied for second with three triples. As a team, South Carolina is sixth in fielding percentage (.981).
