WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — South Carolina women’s tennis’ Ingrid Gamarra Martins was defeated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Singles Championship on Wednesday at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
No. 43 Emily Arbuthnott of Stanford won the match in straight sets, 6-3, 7-5, over No. 59 Gamarra Martins to advance to the second round.
