Men's soccer announces 2018 promotional schedule
Gamecocks host Clemson Friday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m.
COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina men’s soccer announced its 2018 promotional schedule on Monday. The Gamecocks will play 11 home matches this fall, including an additional two exhibition dates versus Duke (Aug. 15) and Gardner Webb (Aug. 18).
Carolina will again be running several season-long promotions with Pitch Pals, Kickin’ It With Cocky and Youth Club Days. All season long the Gamecocks are inviting elementary and middle school choirs out to Stone Stadium to sing the National Anthem before a game this season. All singers receive FREE admission and anyone guests associated with the singers or school will receive admission for $1. Please contact Joe O’Clair at firstname.lastname@example.org 803-777-3879 for more information and to sign up.
The Gamecocks will also have several multiple and single game promotions including free Carolina soccer scarfs for the first 200 students that attend 10 men’s and/or women’s soccer games. For additional information on multiple and single game promotions, click here.
Carolina has a long history of great support from its fans, and it looks to continue that tradition this fall. The Gamecocks have finished in the top-10 for national attendance average in four consecutive seasons. Last year, Carolina finished third in the country in attendance average. The 2,900 fan per game average was a program record.
Head coach Mark Berson and his team kickoff the regular season on Friday, Aug. 24 vs. Georgetown at 7 p.m. A week later the Gamecocks welcome in-state rival Clemson to the friendly confines of Stone Stadium. Carolina broke the all-time single-game attendance record the last time the Tigers came to town when 6,892 fans attended the annual rivalry match. To view the Gamecocks full 2018 slate, click here.
