Track & Field Coaches Clinic Set for This Weekend
Registration still available for two-day clinic
COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina track & field program will hold its annual Sprint, Jump and Hurdles Coaches Clinic this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16-17, 2018. A limited number of spots are still available, and registration costs $175.
Featured speakers at the 2018 Coaches Clinic include USATF researcher Dr. Ralph Mann, Carolina assistant coach Karim Abdel Wahab, Carolina assistant strength & conditioning coach Keith Scruggs, Hampton University head coach Maurice Pierce, acclaimed youth coach Gary Evans and Dr. Jay Patel, the director of health at the Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center.
Topics include Sprint Starts, Developing the 400m Runner, Training for the 400m Hurdles, High Hurdles Start to Finish, Foot Biomechanics and Gait Analysis, and Transfer of Training to Track & Field Performance. In addition to speaking sessions, the clinic includes a biomechanical analysis session with Dr. Mann.
Camp registration is open to any and all participants; limited only by age, grade level, and/or gender.
