South Carolina Softball To Host Student Meet-And-Greet
COLUMBIA, S.C. —- No. 17 South Carolina softball is set to host a student meet-and-greet on Green Street outside the Russell House tomorrow morning. Members of the team, as well as head coach Beverly Smith, will host the event from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
All South Carolina students are invited to come meet student-athletes and coaches and grab a voucher for a shirt at Friday’s game.
The Gamecocks play host to Charlotte tonight before returning to conference action this weekend against No. 4 Alabama. This weekend will serve as Carolina’s alumni weekend as the 1989 team will be recognized prior to the Friday night game against the Crimson Tide.
South Carolina softball will retire the jersey of Trinity Johnson prior to the Saturday contest, marking the first time the program has retired a jersey. Fans and students should plan to arrive early as the first 250 fans and 50 students will receive a “shirzy” in honor of Johnson’s jersey retirement.
