Gamecocks Honored as ITA All-Academic Team

Six players earned ITA Scholar-Athletes

COLUMBIA, S.C.For the eighth-straight season, South Carolina men’s tennis was recognized as an ITA All-Academic team for its team GPA of 3.578. Six members of the team — Jake Beasley, Thomas Brown, Patrick Cacciatore, Raphael Lambling, Beau Pelletier and Daniel Rodrigues — were honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes. The six individual honorees is the most for the program since five Gamecocks were earned the recognition in 1992.

This marks the 11th overall ITA All-Academic award for the program.

All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. ITA scholar-athletes must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).
