Beach Volleyball Hosts Annual Intra-Squad Scrimmage Saturday Afternoon

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina beach volleyball rolls through its fall training season with its annual Garnet and Black Scrimmage this Saturday at 2 p.m. out on Wheeler Beach. There will be two rounds of matches, with the winner decided after all five pairs have competed.

The team’s state-of-the-art facility can be located behind the South Carolina softball stadium and Cregger Track. Fans can park in the Dodie Anderson Academic Enrichment Center’s parking garage (1300 Heyward St.) or in the parking lot off South Marion Street. Those coming from the parking garage can take the athletics village promenade down to the courts; those in the South Marion lot can enter from below the promenade.

Representing Team Garnet will be Katie and Jordan Smith, Franky Harrison, Carly Schnieder, Sophie Manson, Quinn Fulton, Peyton Gray, Louise Kooiman and Sarah Nacouzi. Team Black is made up of Madison Brabham, Kaeli Crews, Hannah Edelman, Skylar Allen, Avery Davis, Ashley Brasfield, Abby Carroll, Whitley Ballard, Eliza Epps and Kennedy Copeland.
