Lambling and Rodrigues Pick up Win in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla.— South Carolina men’s tennis’ 27th-ranked doubles team of Raphael Lambling and Daniel Rodrigues picked up a win in the doubles consolation draw of the ITA All-American Championships Thursday night.

The win over Wichita State’s Murkel Dellien and Marius Fosa came after a rain delay pushed the start time back two hours. The sophomore duo overcame a loss in the first set 3-6, battling back to win the second set 6-4. In the third-set super tiebreaker, the Gamecocks came out victorious at 10-7, clinching the victory on a Lambling forehand winner.

Lambling and Rodrigues will play the winner of the North Carolina vs. Tulsa match in tomorrow’s consolation quarterfinals.
