Baseball to Host Free USA Baseball Community Coaches Clinic

Head Coach Mark Kingston and his staff, in conjunction with USA Baseball, will host the clinic on Nov. 13.

COLUMBIA – Head Baseball Coach Mark Kingston and his staff, in conjunction with USA Baseball, will host a free Community Coaches Clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 6-9 p.m. at Founders Park.
 
“This will be a great event for the coaches of our area,” Kingston said. “We are excited to be partnering with Team USA and look forward to sharing our player development philosophies.”
 
Kingston was a part of the USA Baseball coaching staff this past summer as he was an assistant coach for the Collegiate National Team that played in tournaments in Chinese Taipei and Japan.
 
“USA Baseball is excited to partner with the University of South Carolina’s baseball program staff to host a Community Coaches Clinic,” said Andrew Bartman, USA Baseball’s Director of Coaching Development. “South Carolina has a tradition-rich baseball program with an outstanding coaching staff and we know they will provide high-quality instruction and information for all of the attendees.”
 
USA Baseball Community Coaches Clinics aim to provide educational support to parents and coaches of all levels at no cost. Additionally, attending the Community Coaches Clinic satisfies the in-person requirement for the free.  Additionally, attending the Community Coaches Clinic satisfies the in-person training requirement for the free USA Baseball Coaches Certification program.
