South Carolina Announces 2020 Home Meet Schedule

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina is excited to announce its track and field home schedule for the upcoming 2020 season. The Gamecocks will host seven home meets, four at the indoor facility and three at Sheila and Morris Cregger Track.  
 
Head coach Curtis Frye’s program will host four indoor meets: the Gamecock Opener from Jan. 17-18, the Carolina Challenge from Jan. 31 – Feb. 1, the South Carolina Invitational from Feb. 7-8 and the USC Indoor Open on Feb. 22.
 
Carolina’s outdoor home season begins on March 27-28 when the Weems Baskin makes a return to Columbia for the fourth-consecutive year.
 
The Gamecocks host single-day outdoor home meets on April 11, when many of the Southeast’s top teams visit for the Gamecock Invitational, and April 18, as Carolina hosts another strong field at the USC Open on Senior Day.

South Carolina returns a plethora of talent for the 2020 season. Three national titles and six All-Americans return to the Gamecocks who will once again be competing for a top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships and SEC titles.
 
The 2020 SEC Championships will start with the Indoor Championships in College Station, Texas from Feb. 28-29. The Outdoor Championships also take place in College Station, Texas, from May 14-16.
 
The 2020 NCAA Indoor Championships begin on March 13-14, followed by the outdoor championship season that starts from May 28-30 at the NCAA East Regional in Lexington, Ky., followed by the NCAA Outdoor Championships from June 10-13 in Austin, Texas.
