Gamecocks Pick Up Two Wins on Day Two

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.— South Carolina men’s tennis sophomores Daniel Rodrigues and Raphael Lambling excelled on day two of the 2019 Oracle ITA Fall National Championships.
 
No. 35 Rodrigues topped No. 32 ranked Gui Osorio of San Diego in to advance in the Main Draw. After losing the first set in a tiebreak 6-7 (5), Rodrigues battled back and overtook Osorio in the final two sets, closing out the fellow Portugal native 6-2 and 6-4.
 
Lambling had an easier go in his second match of the tournament, taking down Bennett Crane of Indiana in the consolation round of 32. Lambling defeated the Hoosier junior 6-2, 7-5 in straight sets.
