Lambling Advances to Consolation Quarterfinals

COLUMBIA, S.C.—  The South Carolina’s men’s tennis sophomore Raphael Lambling picked up a win against Mor Bulis of Southern California 6-2, 3-2 after Bulis retired in the ITA Fall National Championships. Lambling advances to the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket.
 
Sophomore No. 35 Daniel Rodrigues’ run in the main draw came to an end against No. 9 Jack Lin of Columbia 2-6, 6-3, 6-1. Rodrigues tournament ends after picking up two ranked wins in back-to-back days.
 
Wake Forest Fall Invitational
While Lambling and Rodrigues played under the California sun, three more Gamecocks were in action on the first day of the Wake Forest Invitational with a round of singles and doubles. South Carolina freshman Connor Thomson and junior Thomas Brown played in the A1 singles draw, while Beau Pelletier was in the A2 singles draw. All three will continue on Saturday with consolation matches.
